Kaybree Versus the Angels

Kaybree Versus the Angels
by Harrison Paul

This was a free download on Amazon that a friend recommended. I don't often find free books (except the classics) to download that actually sounded like something I'd be interested in reading so I was happy to come across this one.

This is a story takes place in a land where Angels started attacking humans, instead of protecting them. It follows a young girl who learns that she may have an important role in saving Humanity, if she can just figure out why the Angels turned against them.

I thought this was a fun book to read. I have definitely never read a story like this before so I thought it was an interesting concept. Of course it is the first in a series so there is much more to the story of Angels attacking humans, that I'm sure will be answered much further along in the series. I did find myself slightly annoyed that Kaybree keeps trusting the things her mother tells her. I feel like her mother's motives aren't entirely good. I'm going to have to read the next book in the series to hopefully figure out what really happened and decide whose side I am really on. (Which is probably why the first book was free, because now I want to read the next book.)
