This is the sequel to Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. I read the last book three years ago so It was hard for me to remember much of what happened in the first book. It took me a little bit to remember some of the more important aspect of the Peculiar children and the creatures they were running from. That being said, I don't think it was too hard to follow what was happening and I found myself interested in their plight, despite my lack of knowledge.

I found the story to be interesting and I loved all the pictures through out the book. It is really fascinating how he can take all these old photos and turn them into a story. Really the photos themselves make the book worth reading.

I do have to admit that it took me almost a week to finish this book. Partly because I have not been sleeping well, causing me to be to tired to read at times. Partly because the book just didn't capture my attention as well as some of the more recent books I have read. The chapters are really long and sometimes it felt like it took forever to get through one chapter.

Even though the story was a bit slow moving for me, the book ended in a cliff hanger and I definitely want to read the next book to find out what happens to everyone. I just hope I don't have to wait as long for the third book to come out, or I may have a hard time remembering everything that
